Meet Our Trainers

Fiona Fanner

Fiona teaches Swedish Massage and Pregnancy Massage and supervises student clinic at the NSW School of Massage as well as working as a massage therapist on the Northern Beaches. Fiona has been a practising Aromatherapist for over twenty years. Fiona has worked on the ski fields of Switzerland and France working with sports related indications and in London, where she set up practice in a major London Health club specialising in Aromatherapy for pre and postnatal women.

In 1989 Fiona arrived in Sydney and has been living and working here since. She created, and was the principal of “The Aromatherapy School” where accredited Post Graduate Diplomas were held.  She was the principal for five years. Fiona has published a book “Aromatherapy remedies for women” and has also published various articles in international professional magazines and has lectured nationally on essential oil use during labour for pain management.

Patricia Farnsworth

Patricia Farnsworth is the founder of The Craniosacral Therapy Academy and the Myofascial Release Centre. She is one of the most qualified teachers inAustraliaand is unique in having qualifications in Remedial Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release and Advanced Musculoskeletal Therapy (Craniosacral specialisation).

She was responsible for bringing the John Barnes method of Myofascical Release to Australian bodyworkers and was instrumental in having MFR accepted nationally and included in the national training standards for massage therapy. Her knowledge in Myofascial Release Therapy has led to many guest appearances at National massage conferences over the years.

Patricia started her professional journey by completing her Diploma in Remedial Massage in 1989 and becoming a registered Sports Trainer. She has since then trained under various teachers and mentors.

Patrick de Permentier

Patrick teaches Anatomy & Physiology at the NSW School of Massage.

Students value his knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, his dynamic teaching style and enthusiasm and his delivery of information in a concise manner.  In addition, Patrick lectures 1st and 2nd year medical students and 2nd year science students at the University of NSW.

Patrick’s dedication to teaching has resulted in the presentation of a number of awards from the Faculty of Medicine and School of Medical Sciences for teaching excellence and course development over the last 20 years.

His contribution to research in education is also noted by the many journal publications and published conference proceedings. From a natural therapy point of view, Patrick publishes articles in the Journal of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). He has also successfully applied for a number of grants from bodies such as the NH & MRC and the ALTC.

Currently, Patrick is the State Representative for ATMS.

Julie Thompson-Moltzen

Julie teaches Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Lomi Lomi massage and supervises Aromatherapy student clinic at the NSW School of Massage as well as operating her own clinic in Sydney.

Julie is a full member and accredited teacher with the International Aromatherapy & Aromatic Medicine Association and has been incorporating her passion for Aromatherapy into other modalities. As well as qualifications in Beauty Therapy, Remedial Massage and Clinical Aromatherapy, Julie has also undertaken studies in Oncology Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Lomi Lomi Facilitator’s training and Level 6 in Hawaiian Massage.

Julie is also a member and accredited teacher with the International Aromatherapy & Aromatic Medicine Association and has been incorporating her passion for Aromatherapy into other modalities.

Jack Mashall

Jack teaches Zen Shiatsu at the NSW School of Massage. His teaching focuses on developing an understanding of precise diagnostics and healing strategies.

A Yoga teacher and health practitioner for over 20 years, Jack developed the practice of Ki Yoga in 1996 based on the traditions of Hatha and Oki-Do Yoga and other wholistic healing practices of the Far East. Jack also writes and teaches seminars on Meridian Medicine, which is a diagnostic and healing system of yoga.
